Corporate Social Responsibility Related to Employment, Occupational Health and Safety

Human resources are one of the main stakeholders who play an important role in achieving the Company’s objectives. Therefore, the Company always strives to carry out social responsibility towards the workers in various aspects, such as workers’ welfare, competency development, protection in the workplace and preparation for retirement.

The Company has implemented social responsibility related to employment including health and safety programs, quality and professionalism improvement programs, performance evaluation, and welfare program.The implementation of CSR related to employment, occupational health and safety refers to Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, Law No. 2 of 2004 concerning Settlement of Industrial Relations Disputes, Law Number 1 of 1970 concerning Occupational Safety and Collective Labor Agreements (PKB) between the management and employee unions. As for policies related to Occupational Health and Safety, the Company refers to:

Perseroan telah melaksanakan tanggung jawab sosial terkait ketenagakerjaan meliputi program kesehatan dan keselamatan, program peningkatan kualitas dan profesionalisme, evaluasi kinerja, serta program kesejahteraan. Pelaksanaan CSR terkait ketenagakerjaan, kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja mengacu pada Undang-Utndang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang Ketenagakerjaan, Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2004 tentang Penyelesaian Perselisihan Hubungan Industrial, Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1970 tentang Keselamatan Kerja serta Perjanjian Kerja Bersama (PKB) antara manajemen dan serikat pekerja. Adapun kebijakan terkait Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja, Perseroan mengacu pada:


Quality Management System, ISO 9001: 2008.


Occupational Safety and Health Management System, OHSAS 18001: 2007 and SMK3 PP 50 of 2012.


Environmental Management System, ISO 14001: 2004.


Security Management System, PERKAP 07-24 and International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code.

Implementation of function in the field of occupational health and safety is carried out by the Departement. Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QHSSE). Perseroan telah melakukan sosialisasi dan menyelenggarakan pelatihan terkait aspek-aspek QHSSE secara berkala melalui media internal yang dapat dijangkau oleh seluruh pekerja, mitra kerja dan masyarakat di sekitar wilayah operasi. Hal ini menjadi sebuah keharusan karena manajemen Perseroan ingin agar seluruh pekerja, mitra kerja dan masyarakat dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif agar implementasi QHSSE dalam setiap kegiatan operasional dapat berjalan optimal.

Integrated Management System (IMS)

As a company committed to quality, safety and health at work and the environment, PT Nusantara Regas already has an Integrated Management System (IMS) that has been certified by the certification body as follows :

1. Quality Management System, ISO 9001: 2008.

Is a standard for the implementation of the Quality Management System as a tool that is applied in an organization to provide a transparency regarding the activities in the organization. This activity is expected to provide satisfaction, and can meet the needs of customers and the market. The purpose is :

  • Ensuring the suitability of a process and product for certain needs or requirements
  • Provide satisfaction to consumers through meeting the needs and requirements of the process and products determined by customers and organizations.

PT Nusantara Regas Quality Management System has been ISO 90001: 2008 certified by TUV NORD Indonesia with certificate registration number: 16 00 K 16147 on November 1, 2016 which is valid until 31 October 2019 with the scope of activities: Operation, Distribution and Maintenance.

2. Occupational Safety and Health Management System, OHSAS 18001: 2007 and SMK3 PP 50 of 2012.

The Environmental Management System is an integral part of the overall company management system which consists of a set of systematic arrangements covering the organizational structure, responsibilities, procedures, processes and resources in an effort to realize the environmental policies outlined by the company. The environmental management system provides a mechanism to achieve and demonstrate good environmental performance, through efforts to control the environmental impact of activities, products and services. The system can also be used to anticipate the development of demands and increase environmental performance of consumers, as well as to meet the environmental regulatory requirements of the government.

The overall objective of implementing the ISO 14001 environmental management system (SML) as an international standard is to support environmental protection and prevention of pollution that is balanced with socioeconomic needs.

Environmental management covers a complete range of issues covering matters relating to strategy and competition. The application of ISO 14001 also provides many benefits for companies. Some important benefits are :

  • Minimize the negative impact (impact) of their activities (aspects) on the environment, such as causing adverse changes to air, water or soil.
  • Comply with applicable laws and environmental-oriented requirements.
  • Continuously improving the above.

PT Nusantara Regas Environmental Management System has been ISO 14001: 2004 certified by TUV NORD Indonesia with certificate registration number: 08 04 K 16059 on 1 November 2016 which is valid until 31 October 2019 with the scope of activities: Operation, Distribution and Maintenance.

3. Occupational Safety and Health Management System, OHSAS 18001: 2007

Sistem Manajemen K3 (Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja) menurut standar OHSAS 18001:2007 ialah bagian dari sebuah sistem manajemen organisasi (perusahaan) yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan menerapkan Kebijakan K3 dan mengelola resiko K3 organisasi (perusahaan) tersebut.
Manfaat penerapan Sistem Manajemen K3 :

  • Knowing the weaknesses of the operational system elements before operational disruptions, accidents, incidents and other losses occur.
  • Knowing a clear and complete picture of K3 performance in the company.
  • Improve compliance with K3 sector legislation.
  • Increase knowledge, skills and awareness about K3.
  • Increase work productivity.
