Jakarta – In the spirit of Eid al-Adha 1447 H, PT Nusantara Regas (NR) distributed six sacrificial cows to communities across six beneficiary locations on May 25–26, 2026, through the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This initiative reflects NR’s care and commitment to delivering meaningful benefits to communities around its operational areas.
The sacrificial animals were distributed to beneficiaries in six locations, namely Muara Angke, Muara Karang, Tanjung Pasir Village, Untung Jawa Island, the Thousand Islands Police Resort, and the PGN Operational Area. Through this distribution, NR hopes to share the joy of Eid al-Adha while further strengthening harmonious relations with communities surrounding the company’s operational areas.
NR also ensured that all sacrificial animals distributed had undergone a comprehensive health inspection process, including checks for Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD), anthrax, and surra, and were accompanied by Veterinary Certificates issued by the local Animal Husbandry and Health Office. This measure was carried out to ensure that the sacrificial animals were healthy, safe, and suitable for distribution to the community.
Acting Corporate Secretary of PT Nusantara Regas, Fahmi, stated that the qurban activity is not only viewed as part of the Eid al-Adha celebration, but also as a form of the company’s ongoing commitment to bringing benefits to the community.
“For Nusantara Regas, the spirit of qurban is not only about sharing, but also about spreading joy and strengthening good relations with the community. While we continue to play our role in maintaining the nation’s energy supply, we also want to continue channeling the energy of kindness that can be felt directly by the surrounding communities,” Fahmi said.
Furthermore, Fahmi explained that the distribution of sacrificial animals is expected to strengthen togetherness between the company and the community, particularly in coastal areas and around NR’s operational sites. Through this activity, Nusantara Regas aims to ensure that the company’s presence not only contributes to the energy sector, but also creates a positive social impact for the surrounding environment.
In addition to delivering social benefits, this activity also supports the circulation of the local economy through the purchase of sacrificial animals from domestic livestock farmers. As such, the benefits of qurban are not only felt by the recipients of the sacrificial meat, but also by livestock business actors who are part of this chain of shared benefits.
The qurban distribution program received a positive response from the beneficiaries. One recipient representative, Rusli, Head of the Qurban Committee of Untung Jawa Island, expressed his appreciation for Nusantara Regas’ care for the community.
“For us, this qurban is not merely about distributing meat, but also a symbol of togetherness and care. The community feels valued, especially during the meaningful moment of Eid al-Adha. We would like to thank Nusantara Regas. May this assistance bring blessings and further strengthen the good relationship with the residents of Untung Jawa Island,” Rusli said.
Through the spirit of Eid al-Adha, NR hopes this activity will serve as a reminder that kindness shared with others will continue to grow into happiness for many. Moving forward, the company remains committed to carrying out sustainable social programs that are aligned with the needs of the community.
