Jakarta — As the operator of the strategic FSRU Nusantara Regas Satu asset, PT Nusantara Regas (NR) plays an important role in maintaining the continuity of energy distribution for Jakarta and western Java. This role requires safe and reliable operational management, supported by consistent safety standards.
In line with this commitment, NR held the Leadership Commitment & Kick Off PSAIMS and SUPREME at NR’s Head Office. The agenda forms part of the company’s efforts to strengthen process safety governance, asset integrity, and HSSE culture across all operational lines.
The event was marked by the signing of PT Nusantara Regas’ Process Safety & Asset Integrity Management System (PSAIMS) Policy by NR’s Board of Directors. The signing was witnessed directly by Moch. Khusnul Mustakim, Acting VP HSSE Portfolio & New Business of PT Pertamina (Persero), and Feronica Yula, Division Head HSSE Planning & Performance of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk.
Through this agenda, NR aligned its understanding of the implementation of PSAIMS, which stands for Process Safety & Asset Integrity Management System, and SUPREME, which stands for Sustainability Pertamina Expectations for HSSE Management Excellence. Both serve as important references for the company in ensuring that business activities are carried out safely, reliably, efficiently, compliantly, and sustainably.
SUPREME is the HSSE management system within Pertamina, designed to integrate HSSE best practices in a structured manner to support business sustainability and risk management. Meanwhile, PSAIMS plays a role in ensuring that process safety and asset integrity are managed consistently, from risk identification, control, and monitoring to continuous evaluation.
Director of Operations & Commercial of PT Nusantara Regas, Mahfud Fauzi, stated that the implementation of PSAIMS and SUPREME holds significant importance for NR, particularly as the company manages energy infrastructure that plays a vital role in the energy supply for Jakarta and western Java.
“The implementation of PSAIMS and SUPREME at NR is not merely about meeting standards or compliance requirements. More than that, both are part of the way we keep operations safe, assets reliable, and energy distribution to Jakarta and western Java running properly,” Mahfud said.
Mahfud added that the role of FSRU Nusantara Regas Satu as one of the strategic assets in energy infrastructure means that process safety and asset integrity must always remain a key priority in every operational activity.
“FSRU Nusantara Regas Satu plays an important role in the energy supply chain. Therefore, every process, equipment, and supporting activity needs to be managed with discipline and high standards. Through PSAIMS and SUPREME, we want to ensure that risks can be identified early, properly controlled, and followed up on an ongoing basis,” he added.
The implementation of these systems also covers the management of NR’s operational assets, including the FSRU, subsea pipeline, Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF), and other supporting facilities. All these aspects form part of the company’s efforts to ensure that critical infrastructure continues to operate safely, optimally, and reliably.
This initiative also builds on NR’s achievement in obtaining the Green Level in SUPREME in 2025. This achievement serves as a foundation for NR to continue improving HSSE standards, maintaining operational reliability, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the company’s business.
“Safety is a shared responsibility. With the support of all employees, business partners, and consistent system implementation, NR will continue to maintain operational reliability while supporting the sustainability of energy supply for the community,” Mahfud concluded.
The series of activities concluded with a symbolic handover of the PSAIMS and SUPREME Implementation Commitment Charter to each Champion Group. This session served as a form of cross-functional role alignment in supporting the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of PSAIMS and SUPREME within NR.
PT Nusantara Regas is an affiliate of PT Pertamina (Persero), established together with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, with the mandate to operate the West Java Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Jakarta Bay waters and the Onshore Receiving Facilities in Muara Karang, DKI Jakarta. These facilities play a vital role in receiving and processing LNG as an energy supply source for power plants in Jakarta and western Java.
